To Keep NSW Number 1, we need measures and policies that support businesses to create jobs, not impose policies that will actively add to unemployment, particularly youth unemployment.
Last year the NSW Business Chamber welcomed payroll tax relief for thousands of NSW businesses following the Government’s budget announcement of an increase in the threshold from $750,000 to $1 million by the year 2021/22.
Payroll tax, particularly for those businesses sitting close to threshold, penalises a business for taking on additional employees, while also increasing compliance costs by around $10,000 per year.
That’s why the NSW Business Chamber has launched the “Stop the Tax Slug on Jobs” petition to call on Michael Daley and NSW Labor to change their mind and let businesses and their staff get on with the job.
Don’t let our jobs and investment go to other states.
Please sign the petition and share with your friends, family and colleagues.
